The 2010 Caribbean Series
 

ISLA MARGARITA – The Lions of Escogido from the Dominican Republic won their third Caribbean Series Championship title and 18th overall for the Dominican Republic by defeating the Lions of Caracas by a score of 7-4.

This classic Dominican team returned to the Caribbean Baseball Tournament after an 18 year absence. This is a testament to the serious competition that exist in the Dominican Republic Baseball League.

El Escogido won the last game of the series after Puerto Rico defeated Mexico 8-2, thus avoided a tie breaker with the Mayagüez Indians, the home boys from Borinquen.
